From their Jinqiao base, Sport for Life run sports, swimming and many more camps, both at special seasonal times and all through the year. The price is usually very reasonable and their teachers are good too. See their website for current seasonal offers.
Cages is also for adults and serves alcoholo at the bar, but they are also very family-friendly. Weekend mornings are suitable for younger kids to play in the little play zone, and older kids can do sports such as bubble football, baseball and archery.
There are both boy and girl scout groups in Shanghai. They do the usual do-goodery and help kids to learn independence, teamwork and many other useful life skills besides.
Mummy & Me / Mom & Me Playgroups
Jitterbugs has been going for about 6 years in Shanghai. They run nice and simple sessions all over Pudong and Puxi. Costs are around 100 RMB per time, or save by buying a bulk of classes. They are 45 minute sessions where kids of different ages, from 1 to 5, can dance around and meet other little kids too.
Mami & Me
