Location: Anji is an amazing place. It gives the Shanghai expat family a place to escape the city to. There are many local guesthouses on top of the mountain, but unless you can read Chiese and use Dianping, it’s impossible to access them.
So the JW Marriott Anji is a great place from which you can explore this beautiful natural area.
Hotel: This is a new hotel, three hours (or two and a half on a good day) from Shanghai. In the hotel, there is a small play area. The food is pretty good and the rooms are nice. They also have golf alongside.
Rooms: The rooms are of gorgeous luxury and you should consider upgrading to a room with a view, as they also have a balcony. Suites start at around ¥2,200 if you have bigger kids.
Overall: It’s definitely a nice weekend escape from the city and well worth a visit.
