Glamping on the rooftop
For a limited time during the spring season there is the option to eat al fresco on the fourth floor rooftop. They have put up a host of tents where you have your own exclusive area to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Although you are in the centre of the metropolis it is the antithesis of what you would expect and it is peaceful and a great place to enjoy a hearty meal after a long bike ride along the Huangpu river.
Each tent comes equipped with your own bed or lounger allowing you or your child to take a rest after dinner.

There is also the option to rent a luxury bicycle, we chose to ride on a Brompton foldable bike. Each bicycle is worth a cool 3,000 pounds. But you can rent them at the hotel and my son loved riding on the cycle route that was not an easy journey and lasts a good 8 kilometres. The hotel provides all the safety equipment and it made the trip that little bit more special as we did the bike ride as a family and also it wore my son out nicely allowing me a bit more time in the evening.
